What to Wear to a Spring Wedding
Gahhh - I'm in love with all of these dresses! Talulah, Tanya Taylor and Nightcap all make some pretty fabulous pieces. I tried all 3 of these on at a local boutique, Max & Riley, in Andover, MA. This is a local, mother and daughter run boutique in the heart of Andover center. I pretty much wanted to leave with the whole store, but restrained myself to just one Show Me Your Mumu gown which I'll be wearing this coming weekend for a friend's wedding.
So, I have a rule of never wearing black to a wedding - unless I find something that really is a statement. I wear black so much in my everyday wardrobe and there are SO many beautiful other colors for a wedding, right?
The purple midi by Talulah is simply breathtaking. I'm a sucker for lace and this fits the body in the perfect spots - super flattering.
When I saw the floral silk dress by Tanya Taylor (with matching choker necklace) I just had to put it on. The colors, the flare, the way it falls... it's all pretty stellar. I paired it with a bright pink Sarah Jessica Parker clutch (with chain) for fun!
Last - by certainly not LEAST - is this body hugging OTS Mini Dress by Nightcap. I'm the first to admit that I typically don't gravitate towards OTS. I just don't feel comfortable in tops or dresses, but the color and lace detailing pulled me in for sure. This would even be perfect for a Bachelorette party, too!
These 3 options are so, so perfect... but they are a bit of a splurge. I would definitely recommend if you have ONE wedding this year or if you have two - one in the spring and fall - so that you could rewear to get the most for your money. If you have tons of weddings this year like most of my friends, here are a few budget-friendly finds that are just as incredible:
I can't wait to show ya'll my dress for this coming weekend - stay tuned!
