It happens the same time every year: my annual client conference for work. This year, we're spending the week in Sin City. This will be the 3rd time in one year that I've traveled to Las Vegas. I'm not bragging by any means. Vegas has, and continues to, suck the life out of me. My last trip in October 2016 I got to see Britney Spears which was a childhood dream come true. This time, my company is bringing in a pretty HUGE band that I'm super excited about seeing. Y'all will have to follow along my Instastories to see who it is.
I stress about packing for these types of conferences. I'm staying at the hotel where the actual conference is - SCORE! However, I always feel like one conference room is warm and then next is cold. I always carry a light wrap to throw over my shoulders, but then it's just more STUFF to carry. Also... can we talk about the current weather in Vegas?? 80+ degrees all week. I am very happy to be in the warmth after the 12+ inches of snow we got in Boston this week.
Shopping for 'business casual' dresses the past few weeks has been so fun. I work from home 100% of the time when I'm not traveling, so I don't often get to shop for a work wardrobe. My go-to look for work events is always dresses. I feel like it's so much easier to pack 3-4 dresses than trying to piece together a top/skirt or pants outfit. This is just me... but you'll never catch me in a suit. I do not feel comfortable in them at all. That said... I always go for a more over-dressed look than business casual. You never know who you'll run into at these events, right?
Below I'm sharing three of my daytime looks for next week (Look #1 is the dress above), as well as shoes, and my favorite work/travel bag. Every night there is a some form of entertainment, so I think I'll be changing into more casual looks for those events. Ahhh, more pieces to pack. The stress continues...
