I frequent the MarketStreet shops in Lynnfield, MA pretty often. Restaurants, Whole Foods, unique stores... it really has everything (including the best ice cream from J.P. Licks). On a recent trip, I discovered a clothing store called FatFace. I remember hearing about it on the radio - a brand from the UK who is making its way to the States. Of course, I had to check it out. I was overwhelmed within the first 5 minutes with all of the casual, laid-back pieces that they offered. I wanted everything from basic white tees (the softest EVER), to shorts and belts. Whenever I find a new brand, I have to do some research to learn about the history and story of how the brand evolved - I guess it's the fashion nerd in me.
FatFace began 29 years ago with two guys, who were so passionate about skiing, that they were driven to open their own business so they could spend more time on the slopes and not stuck behind a desk at a typical 9-5 job. They began selling sweatshirts and t-shirts after hitting the slopes all day. The name FatFace was inspired by a favorite mountain of theirs in Val d'lsere, La Face. Fast forward years later, and the British brand ventured over the pond to open its first store in the US in 2016.
The clothing really speaks for itself. I love that most of the pieces can be worn many ways - styled up with the right accessories - or even to the beach for a nighttime fire. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
