Now that Thanksgiving is over, it's time to really spruce things up... IN YOUR HOME. I am 'that person' who can not decorate for Christmas until Thanksgiving is over. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because it isn't a day about gifts and filled with all the stress that comes with shopping and wrapping. Thanksgiving is a day about being thankful for all that you have - including friends and family - and spending a whole day devoted to being with, and appreciating, those individuals. So yes, I think it's important to give Thanksgiving its day.
That said... bring on the Christmas decorations!! AS YOU ALL KNOW, I am not living in my house right now. So, I will not be picking out a tree, hanging stockings or displaying my nutcracker collection this year. Cheers to 2018!
However, I am going to make my mom do all of these things for us!! HA! To me, the true joy of Christmas comes from the music, the baking of cookies (a tradition in my family) and wrapping endless gifts. And a few decorations around the house, of course.
If I were decorating this year, here is my list of items that I'd be hanging, displaying and drinking *spiked* hot chocolate from.
The velvet Pottery Barn stockings above are my absolute favorite. They are available in a few different sizes and colors... and come with FREE monograming. I also think the 'Our First Christmas' ornament is so adorable.
I can't wait to see everyone's photos of their trees and homes decorated. Do you tend to go with a color theme or are you more traditional with decorations passed down from your family? Share your Christmas traditions below! :)
