Beauty Favorites I'm Sticking By

January 5, 2018

Beauty, beauty, beauty, beauty... beauty everywhere! It's seriously how I feel when I walk into my bathroom - products galore. I do use them all though - some daily and some on various occassion.  I recently started using a new dry shampoo and new facial cleanser, but I'm still figuring out what I like and what I'll continue to use.  So for now, I'll keep those to myself.

I mentioned a week or so ago that I saw a new dermatologist.  I was finally diagnosed with eczema and not that anything has changed, but it does give me a better peace of mind to know what is going on with my skin.  I changed a lot of my daily routine due to this: face moisurizer, face cleanser, body lotion, body wash for the shower and I now have a prescription for a steroid for major flare-ups.  Everything is paraben-free and ultra sensitive.  I've quickly learned what has and hasn't worked for me... it will definitely be an evolving trial period.

With all that said... I still have a few faithful products that I continue to stick by.  I never experience any negative side effects with these given my skin sensitivity.

1. Charlotte Tilbury Healthy Glow All-Year Summer Tint Hydrating Moisturizer

One word: WOW! This tinted moisturizer truly gives me LIFE. When I was younger, I used a version of this made by Neutrogena and then they stopped making it.  I love how it gives a slight "tanned" look that lasts all day.  This also never dries my face out which I love.

2. Glamglow Gravitymud Firming Treatment Mask

Everyone and their mother had told me about this mask.  I finally invested my time (and wallet - this is a little pricey) and it's really amazing.  I have been a face mask addict lately - trying pretty much every brand I can get my hands on.  With my senstive skin, this left my face feeling brand new and hydrated with a healthy glow.

3. L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Cicacrem Anti-Wrinkle + Extra-Recovery Cream

I'm 100% obsessed with my skin lately - mainly on my face.  I actually received this cream from Influenster as a free trial, and I'm hooked.  Give me alllll the anti-aging products, right?  After a few days of using 2x a day (morning and evening, followed by my face moisturizer), I noticed much softer my skin was and that my face was much brighter and lifted. I'll definitely be keeping this in my arsenal of beauty buys.

4. Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm

I just recently started wearing waterproof mascara (Too Faced Better Than Sex - which is awesome!!) and struggled with removing it at the end of the day.  I was super frustrated and hated wearing it because of this.  Cue: a makeup artist friend of mine.  She recommended this and it's amazing. It's super gentle and smells good, too!

5. Kiehl's Ultimate Strength Hand Salve

I feel like I talk about this hand cream everyday haha, but it really is the best.  I always gift this to my girlfriends and even make my boyfriend use it, too. It's the best in the winter with the super cold weather, but it can obviously be used year round. Insider tip: I pick this up at Nordstrom Rack and its 50% cheaper.

6. FRESH Sugar Lip Treatment Sunscreen SPF 15

My 6th and final beauty favorite is the Fresh lip colors.  My go-to color is Tulip, but I also have Nude and Tulip. I forget which blogger originally recommended this line of lip colors, but now I recommend it to everyone. I feel like these are a mix between a lipstick and chapstick. It is really moisturizing and adds a fun touch of color. It's super easy to put on, lasts for a long time and has SPF 15 in it! For $24, it's worth it.

These are the 6 products that I've been using for pretty much over a year at this point, so I believe that they work for me and hopefully will treat you well, too.  I'd love to hear your favorite products.  Is there something that I'm missing out on?? #FOMO
